Merbabu mountain


Recently, people love mountain climbing. I suggest you to climb this mountain, named Merbabu mountain. The reason why I suggest you this mountain beacuse it has an easy path especially for the beginner. In this article I would like to talk about Merbabu mountain via Wekas. Merbabu mountain located in 3 districts, which are Magelang, Semarang, and Boyolali. While Merbabu mountain via Wekas is located in Magelang district. You can go there by public transport from Magelang terminal.

ROUTE FROM BASECAMP UNTIL POST 2
Route from basecamp until post 2 spent around 6 hours. After take a walk for 1,5 hours from basecamp you will arrive in post 1, named Tegal Arum post. When you arrive this post you can take a rest for a minutes before you go to post 2. You will through footpath and dense forest. The interesting thing that you will find in this mountain is you will heard the monkey screams. When you arrived in post 2 usually climber stand a tent in here, and don’t be afraid your water supply because there are water springs and it’s absolutely FREE. I suggest you to take a rest well because the route from post 2 until summit is more exhausting.

Route from post 2 until summit spent almost 4 hours for the beginner. After take a walk for 1 hour you will arrive in post 3 and you will find many rocks and please be careful if it’s raining because the route will be slippery. After you take a walk for 2 or 3 hours from post 3 you will arrive in Kenteng Songo mountain. If you have already arrived in Kenteng Songo mountain before 5 am there will be beautiful cloud and sunrise.

That’s all about Merbabu mountain, It is a beautiful mountain but there are many preparations to climbe this mountain. Do not underestimate anything if you want to climb this mountain and keep this mountain pure.

Van Der Wijk Fortress was built around the 19th century. Located in Gombong City, Kebumen District, Central Java, approximately 300 m from Kebumen - Yogyakarta highway, this fort is one of the interesting attractions on the South Coast Path. Van der Wijck's name itself comes from the name of the commander at that time whose career is quite brilliant in silencing the resistance of the people of Aceh.
