Climbing a Mountain While You are in Fasting, Why Not?

As we know Ramadhan is coming, so as a Muslim people we have to fasting. But, if we do fasting it's not mean that we can't do some exhausting activity, like climbing a mountain. Based on my experienced, I ever climbing a mounting even if in Ramadhan. So, in this article I would like to give some tips to climbing a mountain even if you are in fasting.

Maybe, some people wonder why climbing a mountain when Ramadhan is a good idea. When ramadhan some muslim people try to find out a peace by doing some religious activities, such as Tarawih and reading an Al Qur'an. Have you ever imagine what if we are doing Tarawih and reading an Al Qur'an in the mountain? I guarante that it makes you more focus in doing that activites beacuse it's very quite and we are close with nature that God creature, so we will feel Allah SWT is close with us.

1. Make Sure that You are stiil in Fasting when Climbing a Mountain 

Climbing during fasting may be a challenge for you. It could be a climbing path that is usually easy to be felt different and vicious. As long as you reinforce the strong intentions of wanting to climb, as well as good preparation you can certainly do it. Do not forget to pray before climbing the mountain.

2. Choose an easy path 

Customize your climbing path. Do not just choose a path, use a common climb path, either a short path or an easy path. Papandayan Mountain may be an easy one. Alternatively, you can climb other easy mountains such as Prau mountain, Andong mountain or even Bromo mountain. The most important thing is you can climbing a mountain right?

3. Bring some simple stuff but worthy 

Climbing while fasting would be inconvenient if carrying too heavy or unnecessary stuff. Forget about stuff that are not really important, priority logistics that will support this activity. Maybe do not have to bring camera, just a smartphone is enough. Most importantly, the logistics of nutritious food to break the fast. Do not forget to apply efficient method of packing so that your climb even more fun even when fasting. 

4. Bring Foods That Have Enough Nurition

Do not bring food for climbing like instant noodles. A portion of instant noodles will not be enough to make your body survive during climbing mountain while fasting. Moreover, this instant noodle is hard to digest and absorb water. It would be better to bring calorie foods and contain lots of protein as well as carbohydrates such as sausage, corned beef, meatballs to cereals. Nutritious food will make your stamina last long and not easily tired when climbing the mountain.

5. Always Be Grateful, Do Not Push Yourself While Climbing

So far nature has given infinite favors. In order to climb the mountain always safe and smooth, always be grateful to the Allah SWT. Therefore it is advisable to climb the mountain should not be in a hurry. Just enjoy it, and always remember that Peak is just a gift. Do not push yourself, because the most pleasurable thing is the process of climbing and getting to know nature more closely.
